The Discovery Tree Academy®: Infant Program

At Discovery Tree Academy, we believe every child is a precious gift and we are honored to have the opportunity to become part of their lives as they grow and learn. These early years are crucial in creating a foundation for social and emotional health, physical development, language and communication, as well as cognitive development.

First and foremost, our infant program is staffed by loving and highly qualified teachers. We provide a safe and inviting classroom specifically designed to meet all the needs of our infants. In our classrooms, you will find a variety of age-appropriate toys, books and activity centers for your child to explore.

Our teachers develop weekly lesson plans to meet the individual needs of the children in our infant program. Teachers strategically provide stimulus that encourages infants to explore and discover. As our babies explore, the teacher prompts, cues, and models the language of inquiry, such as “What happens when you push the yellow circle? The bird pops up!” Additionally, teachers consistently stimulate each child with the sounds and rhythms of language to further develop their curiosity about the world around them.

The partnership between Discovery Tree Academy teachers and our families is crucial to ensuring your child has a positive experience in school. Open and continuous communication is an extremely important practice for our teachers. We provide you a daily report that gives detailed information about your infant’s day, need for extra supplies and most importantly how you can reinforce their learning at home. A minimum of two formal parent-teacher conferences are scheduled each year. This harmonious relationship creates an environment where our children blossom into life-long learners.
